Exciting times are ahead at Sefa Soccer Academy! We’ve just wrapped up a fantastic winter season with the Academy Super League (ASL) and are now gearing up for the main ASL Spring season. Kicking off on April 6 and running through July, this season promises plenty of thrilling games for our young athletes. Our kids have been training hard, and we can’t wait to see them take the field!
A Winter of Growth and Fun
This past winter was a huge success for Sefa Soccer Academy, especially for our U9-U12 teams. These talented boys and girls dove into indoor Futsal games—a fast-paced version of soccer played on a smaller court. Futsal is perfect for sharpening technical skills and boosting quick decision-making, and our players made the most of it. Hosted in cozy indoor gyms across Burnaby, New Westminster, and Coquitlam, these sessions kept the kids active and engaged, even when the weather outside turned chilly.
In fact, while many outdoor soccer games in British Columbia were canceled for two to three weeks in February due to cold weather, our academy teams didn’t miss a beat. Instead, they continued to enjoy soccer in warm indoor spaces, bringing smiles and excitement to every match. The results were incredible—many of our young athletes showed remarkable development and delivered standout performances. Watching them learn, grow, and have fun was a highlight of the season!

As we transition to the spring season, the energy is buzzing at Sefa Soccer Academy. The ASL Spring season is the centerpiece of our year, packed with games and opportunities for our players to shine. What sets us apart as a Burnaby soccer club is our commitment to growth. We’re constantly assessing our players—both boys and girls—and moving them up a level when they’re ready. This ensures they’re always challenged and their development stays on a fast track.
